Hi everybody,
Here are some steps you can take to ensure your LED ring works as it should.
First of all a couple of tips :
- When disconnecting and reconnecting the LED ring (at any stage of this article and in general) it is best to restart the software.
- Always check if there is LED ring start + LED ring stop Feature states in the workflow (Start LED ring\Stop LED ring in older versions).
Now let's begin!
1) This step is relevant for V7 and below-
- C:\Windows\SysWOW64
- C:\Windows\System32
2) In your windows search bar, type in Control panel >> select View devices and printers
3) Check which COM port your led ring is connected to (V9 and up have an "Auto Detect COM port" option, yet it is still important to make sure the LED Ring is recognized as a device in our computer):
* If the LED ring is recognized as USB- 2.0 - Please contact the support team.
4) Open the Mirror Me software, navigate to the Features >> LED ring (If your software was already open, close and reopen it) and check that you have the right COM port number or check the "Auto Detect COM port" box (available in V9 and up)
If the above didn't help - try to change the LED ring USB port, so the COM number will change as well, and try again.
